Hello Friend

It's a goodbye from me... hopefully just for the next week, as I self isolate and contemplate all things Cheltenham within my members' club. Although, if the wheels well and truly come off, this may be the final time you hear from me! I jest.

The only bit of advice i'd give it set yourself a budget/bank - both a serious one (for your own bets/whoever you may be following) and an 'action bets' pot also, including for any multiple bets etc - if there's one week where you throw a last minute bet at something as they circle, it's the Festival. But these can add up. My aim is to enjoy watching the Gold Cup, even if i've had a shocker up until then- I have a budget that I wont' think about if it's all lost, which is key. That mindset also means you're not scared to lose, and as such more likely to land on decent priced winners I think. And, do pay attention to the exchanges, esp if playing on an outsider- you can get some big big prices on there.
