I've been digging in my HorseRaceBase account and have found 4 trainers who do very well with their handicappers in the month of August.
They stand out because their record is much better during this month than the rest of the year, suggesting this could be a deliberate strategy.

There is one 'qualifier' today, Spider Lily in the 6.30 Windsor.
