It was pleasing to email out a winner yesterday, after some frustration especially the riding tactics on a couple. If Daniel Deronda and Golden Melody don't win more handicaps soon I will be mildly surprised. Two for the notebook. Stoute's filly has some work to do but she's either useless, or he'll find the key at some point and she'll bolt up in a couple of handicaps, maybe 12f+ needed already. 

I've flagged a few big priced horses today on the blog and I won't mention them all here but there was one stat i've noted down more generally... 5lb claimer Amy Waugh has been riding well in recent weeks, especially when teaming up with Jim Goldie, who she may well be attached to, I'm not sure. They're now 4/17, 5p +20 SP and it could be a combo to keep an eye on, the sort that would go under the radar/some nice prices. 

I actually thought Be Proud may run ok in The Bronze Cup, if getting a good pace to aim at. But it may pay to be high, and my beer money change was also drawn to Ventura Express at 25s for various reasons. They're bloody tough races and I don't expect to win, but all a bit of fun.
