Firstly, Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

Below I've researched x4 jumps trainers to follow this January, who I hope will add some cheer and profits in the next few weeks. The monthly trainers are on +71 points to Betfair Starting price since Sept 1st, when they returned. They suffered a small -4 point loss in Dec for all found plenty of winners, some of which I 'tipped', and would have been profitable to morning odds.

It was a solid is unspectacular 'Festive Period' for my own selections from Boxing Day through to 1st Jan, pulling in around +13 points, and those of you who dived in with my extended 'weekend pass' hopefully had a good time of it. The highlight was Surrey Quest, winning the big handicap at Newbury backed from 7s into 7/2, a superb ride by James Bowen.

Those who dived into my revamped Members' Club from the start, on 1st October, have had a profitable time of it, my selections now around +83 points in profit, +£207.50p to £2.50 bets, or +£415 to £5 bets. Not too bad, at what is a 25% + ROI.

I'll be doing my best to build on that. Those who joined in early November had a great time of it also, before an inevitable losing run, having hit a high of +110 at one stage, but I appear to be back in form so can hopefully have another hot spell in the weeks ahead. January has been kind to me in the past, one season not so long ago pulling in +90 points profit, when it was very wet, so here's hoping!

The private Telegram Chat group has been a great addition also. I'm biased but think I've got the best Racing Community, good natured, friendly, informed, plenty sharing their own thoughts, selections, all having fun. The only rules are to be polite, keep it to horse racing, and only my losers are allowed to be scrutinised. Not those posted by members, celebrating winners helps lift the mood!

Free January Trainers Research...

I've researched angles for four trainers this month... Sue Smith, Sandy Thomson, Kerry Lee and Robert Walford, who combined have averaged +47 points per January since 2016 - I think we'd take that again in 2024, but we'll see if history repeats! (I'd take +20)
