A bit of everything today, including a couple of jockeys to keep an eye on this week at Goodwood, how to get involved in The Scoop6, and something for those of you who enjoy winning money betting on football.
Thankfully in the last email I sent you I highlighted a winner, thanks to Sam Darby, who's had a decent July, pulling in +57.5 points profit, a 36% ROI. Not bad. His 'Free Tips Friday' column will continue throughout the flat season.
I ended up running out of time to do the two big Saturday handicaps justice, having looked for a while I kept going round in circles and didn't bother. Sadly my trends profiles didn't help much this time, neither longlist/shortlist leading to the winner of the Skybet Dash or The International. That happens of course and hopefully a bit more luck this week.
It can be hard to know where to look in the next few days, with both Glorious Goodwood and The Galway Festival on the agenda. In previous years I've made the mistake of trying to do too much and it may be the case that less is more.
I'll have a look at The Galway Plate and they'll be the odd trends race from Goodwood, the main focus likely on the big sprint handicaps on Saturday. Softer ground only adds to the challenge. However, I'll try and flag the odd horse of interest as we hurtle through the week. Of course, there may be some good opportunities away from those two meetings.
