Good Afternoon, Friend
Free Derby Festival Trainer Stats
Hurrah, at last I sent you a members tip who actually ran well in Supreme Yeats, who provided a small EW return at 8/1, well backed halving in price. Maybe a case of what could have been, a game of fine margins, even over jumps - I'm sure Harry had his reasons for being so confident out the back but it meant he had to use up a lot of gas to get competitive, around a tight track, which also meant he had to go very very wide, before getting squeezed and running out of puff. That's the game.
We move on...
Top class flat action this weekend, headlined by a 19 runner Derby, which should be entertaining.
To help you few winners over the two days (hopefully!), I've had a look at a few trainer angles, including the four names who've had at least four winners at the last five meetings... Messrs O'Brien, Gosden, Boughey, O'Meara, and Varian. As well as a few other snippets....
For example...
David O’Meara
Next in line with ‘most winners in the period’ is David O’Meara, 4/33, 9p +7 BFSP all runners. All of these winners have been in handicaps and to date, over 6 & 7 furlongs…
14 bets / 4 wins / 8 places (inc wins) / 29% sr / +19 SP / +26 BFSP
Within this angle…
All winners sent off 9/1 or shorter SP: 4/7, 6p, +33 BFSP (bigger: 0/7,2p, does include a couple of big priced placed horses)
