A couple weeks ago I attended the Edible School Yard Program in Berkeley, California. Alice Waters, who is one one California's Pioneer Farm-to-Table Chefs, spear-heads the program with an amazing team. Chef Ann, from The Chef Ann Foundation, was my teacher and she opened my mind to a new approach for Farm- to-School cooking. Here at Jeremy’s on The Hill we feed 180-200 kids a day for the Julian School Districts and we provide an after school Super Snack as well. I was fortunate to have breakfast with Alice Waters after eating at her restaurant Chez Panisse the night before.

| There is always a reason to visit Julian, Ca! Apple season is right around the corner and the apples look great this year. Peacefield Boutique Apple Orchard will be open the first Sunday in August, by appointment only. The organic farm is just around the corner from Jeremy’s and is operated by our wine Sommelier (and my sister), Brigida Williams. |

Wild blackberry bushes are producing all over Julian. Come hike Volcan Mountain, pick some blackberries, stop by some wineries and eat lunch with us!
Gravenstien apples are an early, semi-sweet and tart crop that kick off the local apple season. Call the Chamber of Commerce to find out when the U-Pick Apple Orchards open up.

Did you know we had two wonderful outdoor dining areas? We have an area set up under the large oak tree (a favorite of locals and guests and dogs!) as well as the covered patio with fireplaces.
