Jim will be at Penguicon in Detroit Michigan next week! If you'll be in the area, stop by and see Jim. So far his schedule looks like this:

Thursday, 6 - 8 Guest of Honor Dinner: Doors open at 6:00 for socializing, then there's a plated sit-down dinner starting at 7.

Friday, 7:00: Shark Panel!

Jim, I know you know that we all anxiously await your books. You had said you wanted to get books out once every year. We are fine with waiting, as they say, you can’t rush quality!

Was 12 months more difficult to write than past books? Have there been more periods of writers block? If so, what are your methods for overcoming it?

Yes. No. I don't believe in writer's block, it's just that sometimes I'd really, really rather be playing video games. Getting over it just means hammering at it every day.

Are there any plans for the Jade Court to make an appearance as you've mentioned them before? Feels very much like one of Chekov's guns.

In your "about the author" section of your books, it says you're a martial arts enthusiast. Which are your favorite(s)?

Ryukyu kempo, gojo shorei ryu, and boxing.

There is significant interest at the moment. Money has changed hands, so it's looking good. Nothing certain yet, but it looks good. As soon as we know something, you'll be the first to know!

I'm a writer! Does Jim have any advice for me?

Jim heartily recommends his teacher's book, the Fantasy Fiction Formula. Deborah Chester is the one who taught Jim to write, and if you want to learn from the same person who taught him, check out Deborah's book.
