Dr. Paul Wilson shares his experience of losing 185 lbs. on the Ideal Protein Protocol and how even as a physician, he learned a lot of important lessons about how to lose fat and keep it off. Discover Dr. Wilson’s Amazing Transformation and what he means when he says, “work with your body not against it. It’s straight physiology.”
BMR stands for Basal Metabolic Rate and represents the number of calories you would burn in a day if you were inactive and stayed in bed all day. The IP BMR calculator allows you to calculate not only the number of calories you burn when your body is at rest and inactive but also a daily calorie figure that takes into account your lifestyle activity level. These two figures together give you a representative figure for your daily calorie intake.

Visit the Ideal Protein website and Calculate Your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) with this
Easy-To-Use Tool.

Your BMR is the amount of energy your body spends each day when at rest. Your gender, age, height, and weight are important factors in this calculation.

In addition, you may select your current activity level, which will provide you with information about how many calories your body requires based on your level of activity.

Click on the BMR Calculator and go to the Ideal Protein BMR Calculator. If you have questions ask your coach at your appointment this week.

ATTENTION: Current Phase 1 Dieters these numbers will be important in figuring out your regular dietary needs in phase 4.

ATTENTION: Phase 4 Dieters keep these numbers in mind when planning your daily meals and activities.

Meal Prep
Preparing your meals ahead of time is not only smart it is crucial to weight loss and weight maintenance.

Find a time each week to sit down and look at your calendar. Ask yourself are there family or work obligations that I should plan for? What meals do I need to cook this week?

Step 1: Create a menu
Step 2: Create a shopping list
Step 3: Prep anything that can be done ahead of meal time

Below you can see Coach Molly has prepared her daily serving of lunch vegetables. "The only way I can ensure that I will get my two cups of vegetables at lunch is to prepare them ahead of time."
