Conference Call
Dear Friend,

As we shared this past Thursday, Senator Mike Lee made a passionate and very convincing speech on the Senate floor to pass S.386 - The Fairness For High Skilled Immigrants Act by a process called Unanimous Consent. Because of Senator Lee’s efforts, we are closer to final passage than we have ever been. Many of us from across the country, including Utah and Kentucky, came to DC to see this unprecedented and important event. Here is a glimpse of how things unfolded.

You may have also heard that Senator Rand Paul objected on Senator Lee’s Unanimous Consent request. This was unfortunate. We will always have resistance when it becomes clear that this bill is likely to pass and that people whose business models depend on discrimination do all that they can to maintain their indentured labor sources.

But like every just movement, we will win.

We need your continued engagement, time, effort and monetary support to get the bill over the finish line. And we would like you to join our call later today to discuss the next steps.

Date: Sunday, June 30, 2019
