I walked into my vet’s office, “I’m here to pick up Bella”… I’d been putting this off for over a week now. The girl behind the counter hands me 2 white boxes and I walk out.

I walk out to my car, parked in the same spot it was parked 3 weeks prior when I had my beautiful Golden Retriever in tow… hoping that this was just another scare. I now look down and the contents… a black tin containing her ashes and a plaster print of her paw… all that is left of my beautiful, gentle Golden Retriever, that I’ve been blessed to love and be loved by for 10+ years.

I cry and feel this deep pain in my heart and a huge lump in my throat. She is gone forever.

4 weeks prior she was still spinning around before every feeding (I should have called her spinner instead of Bella), stealing tomatoes from the garden and pawing me non-stop, begging to be petted. Never did I anticipate for her to be gone so soon.

Why am I telling you this? Because this is the truth of life… NONE of us are guaranteed a tomorrow. Yet, most of us live our lives disconnected from this reality, that life is short and unpredictable and that it needs to be lived NOW!

We live with a false sense of ‘unlimited time’ and an ‘I’ll do it when…’ mentality. We play it safe, hide behind our fears, and deprive ourselves of good food and joy-filled experiences. We work too hard, play too little, and love not enough. We forget to live life from the TRUTH that we are on borrowed time; each day is a gift and we never know when the gifts will run out.

So how can you live your life to the fullest?

What are you putting off being or doing until the time is right?

What did you REALLY come to this planet to DO, EXPERIENCE, CONTRIBUTE?

If you still don’t know, or you know but are not living it, I want to help you change that TODAY!

Here’s my calendar; let’s chat about how you can avoid the saddest outcome of all, the R.E.G.R.E..T (Realizing Everything Good Remained Eternally Trapped) on your last gifted day.

Here’s to living a full life,

Elena

P.S. Live your life in such a way that when you’re gone the only comments will be “She lived her beautiful life to the
fullest”!!

"Some people drift through their entire life. They do it one day at a time, one week at a time, one month at a time. It happens so gradually they are unaware of how their lives are slipping away until it's too late."
