How are you Friend?

While talking to a friend, the other day, it hit me how easy it is to be pulled off track on our way to our dreams. Once again she was enumerating for me all the things that she was working on; none of which were aligned with the Vision she has for her life.

Does that every happen to you Friend?

Do you get pulled into every which direction following the shiny objects that show up in your life?

It can still happen to me from time to time... hours will go by when I finally realize that I have spent them in all the wrong activities. Even knowing what I'm sharing here, the lure of FB, emails, Twitter, phone calls and a list of distractions compete for the attention I must give to the activities of my goals.

Today's blog post offers some suggestions to help keep you committed to the goals you have deemed important to you. If you follow this simple plan, you will move ever closer to realizing the joy of accomplishing your important objectives.

I hope these suggestions, that can be applied to ANY goal or objective in your life, will help you or someone you know.

To your goal fulfillment,

pursuit of your goal  - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”

Align Your Actions with Your Vision
It’s so easy to get distracted while in pursuit of an important goal.

It seems that while every step ahead may get you closer to your destination, it also presents you with turning points, junctures, and new paths of “opportunity” (that are often distractions in disguise).

If you don’t keep your goals in the forefront of your mind and take discernible steps towards them, then invariably something shiny and alluring will knock you off track.

To eliminate the ‘shiny object’ syndrome, try these 4 easy strategies to keep moving in the right direction:...

Case Study

Julia had a vision for her life; she wanted to have a business where she could express her creative talents with the products that she created. Her focus needed to be in the creation of her products, coming up with new ideas and delivering on her orders. Unfortunately, before we began working together, all of this was just a dream as she spent most of her days chasing every thing, idea or opportunity that came her way. Her fear would get in the way; rather than working on what really mattered, she would belabor things like her logo, her tagline and all the insignificant parts of her business. And that was when she wasn't looking into other side-jobs or other distractions that came her way.
The way she was spending her days was true death to her dreams.
I helped her get really clear on the Vision she had for her life and WHY she wanted it. We then created a workable daily plan for her daily and weekly activities. We discussed and worked through the fear that would have pulled her off track so that she could stay on task and create the momentum she needed to stay the course.
She is now on her way to the business of her dreams. She has managed to release the activities that another could do for her so that she can focus on the creative part that is the heart of her business.
She now focuses all her time and energy on everything to do with her dreams and is feeling stronger, more confident and like a real business owner each and every day. She pushes away the distractions and staying in the moment keeps her from going into the overwhelm that was once a constant challenge.
