FURTHER PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION
On the 9th of May 2022 the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, the Managing Authority of the European Neighbourhood Instrument
Cross-border cooperation programmes 2014–2020 (hereinafter – Programmes), together with the Joint Technical Secretariat (hereinafter – JTS),
organized a virtual meeting with Lithuanian and Latvian beneficiaries
on the further implementation of the Programme in Lithuania and Latvia.
In order to ensure the interests of Lithuanian and Latvian beneficiaries
the Managing Authority has prepared procedures and agreements, necessary for carrying out direct payments of the Programme funds to Lithuanian and Latvian beneficiaries of projects, where Lead beneficiaries are from Belarus.
After signing these direct agreements Lithuanian and Latvian beneficiaries
will prepare and submit progress and final reports without Lead beneficiaries and will be able to receive payments directly. Beneficiaries of concerned projects are invited to contact their project managers at the JTS for more details.

Please be reminded that in the beginning of March 2022 the European Commission suspended financing agreements with Russia and Belarus
On the 31st of March 2022 the minister of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania signed the order No 1V-255 "Regarding the implementation of the European Neighbourhood programmes 2014-2020", providing recommendations and instructions on the implementation of projects:
to carry out planned activities in Lithuania, to submit progress and final reports and advance/balance payments requests in accordance with the provisions and deadlines of the Grant Contracts, not to make any transfers of the Programme funds to the beneficiaries from Belarus.
GUIDANCE ON PROJECTS’ CLOSURE
In order to help beneficiaries finalize projects smoothly the JTS has prepared
the Guidance on Projects’ Closure. The Guidance contains useful tips, important reminders and recommendations on finalizing projects, preparing Final Reports and actions to be taken after the project end.

We are also inviting you to watch 2 video tutorials, prepared by TESIM, which
will help you to prepare for the project closure and final reporting.

HAPPY VACATION SEASON!
On the 23rd of July our project "Innovative Cultural Tourism" invites
everyone to visit Svitene Manor Festival "Live History". Let’s enjoy
the history of the 19th century in the classical pearl in Zemgale!

On the same day another Summer Fest, "Metal over Fortress", will be held in Daugavpils in the frame of our project "Loyal to Culture and Tourism". Guests can expect the cultural programme with the rock concert, excursions and
sightseeing of historical and tourism objects.
COOKBOOKS WITH TRADITIONAL RECIPES
Be sure to check the cookbooks about Latvian and Lithuanian traditional cuisine, prepared by our tasty project "Bella Culture" for inspiration and some new flavours on your summer table! Enjoy!
TOURISTIC "HONEY" ROUTE
This sweet auto tourism route was created by our project "Honey Route"
to encourage cultural tourism, expand the knowledge of ethnic culture and traditions and present the traces of one of the oldest businesses – hollow tree beekeeping, as well as other related traditions, natural and cultural values.

The project has also published the book "Bee Lessons" for 5th-8th grade students, which might as well interest readers of any age.
The Programme is implemented under the European Neighbourhood
Instrument and is financed by the European Union.
