Check out what's happening at the library!

Hello and welcome to our May newsletter! I have some exciting news to share with you! Two of our librarians were selected to receive the 2026 Connecticut Library Association's Special Achievement Award for the implementation of the Pecking Order! Anne Henriques, Head of Adult Services and Andrea Raynor, Digital Services Librarian received the award at a special ceremony at our state library conference this week. Please join me in congratulating them on this wonderful accomplishment.

Next, I’d like to say a big thank you to the many patrons who joined the Friends of the Library during our membership drive in March. It was heartening to see such a wonderful response and to feel the support from our community. Though the membership drive has ended, it is never too late to join. By joining the Friends of the Library, you help us grow, enrich our programs, and enhance the services that benefit our entire community.

Lastly, as a reminder, our library is preparing for a major upgrade to our library catalog system in early June. You can read more here.

I value your feedback and invite you to visit, arrange a personal library tour, or reach out via email to get in touch. Thank you for being part of our vibrant library community! I hope to see you in the library soon.

Library Director
