Check out what's happening at the library!

Hello and welcome to our April newsletter! We have so much to share this month! Here are some highlights:

  • Just in case you missed the update last month, we’re preparing for a major upgrade to our library catalog system in early June. Read more here.

  • Concerned about AI in book publishing? Check out our info page on “AI Slop” in eBooks and audiobooks. There was also an interesting article on this topic in the New York Times recently (visit our database page if you need free NYT access).

  • We now offer library sweatshirts in addition to t shirts! Once we receive 24 orders, we’ll be able to place our order with the vendor. Click here to learn more.

  • The Passport to CT Libraries program runs throughout April. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover the many diverse libraries across our state!

  • At the beginning of 2024, our library implemented a three-year Strategic Plan for the first time. Now, two years in, we wanted to provide an update on what we've accomplished towards the goals laid out in the plan. You can read the update here.

Remember, the best way to support your local library is to use it and remind your friends and family to do the same. We hope to see you in the library soon!
