Berlin-Peck Memorial Library • October 2020 Newsletter
Hello and happy Fall!

With the Governor's announcement of Phase 3 reopening on October 8, we will be making a few changes here at the Library.

We are eliminating appointments for browsing and encourage you to come for a quick visit that would be less than 1 hour. There will be a table and chair set up for newspaper reading. The meeting room will be available by appointment for those individuals that need the extra time to complete tests, etc. that can’t be done in the 2-hour study room limit. One-hour computer appointments will remain in effect.

You LOVE senior hours (Wednesdays & Fridays from 9-10 am) and curbside pickup! We are keeping those in place but will move curbside to the lobby when the weather deteriorates.

To help you access us online more easily, we have purchased extra wi-fi access points, so our signal is stronger – all the way into the parking lot up the hill! Added to our technology arsenal are two more hotspots for you to borrow for two weeks when your internet is down or you're travelling. Speaking of accessing us online, you need a library card for that. Please pickup any cards that you may have signed up for online in the spring and summer. If they aren't picked up soon, we'll unfortunately have to delete you from our files.

Like most libraries in the area, in-person programming is on hold right now, but come on in so we can see your smiling faces…oops, I mean see your pretty masks (from 6 feet away!).

Stay healthy and please vote. We have registration forms here!

Helen Malinka
Library Director
