IFDC GHANA OPEN DOOR EVENT

20 Years Developing Agriculture from the Ground Up

8th -10th February, 2022

Dear Friend

Established in Ghana since 2002, the International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC) has worked to promote local economic development by increasing food and agricultural productivity through effective and environmentally sound crop nutrient technologies and agribusiness expertise using a bottom-up approach. The overall goal of IFDC interventions is to significantly boost the production of higher quality food by eliminating wastage and destruction of agricultural water, land, seeds, and fertilizers. Additionally, IFDC is on top of promoting climate smart and resilient farming systems and technologies among smallholder farmers to reduce adverse environmental impacts associated with agriculture productivity.

IFDC emphasizes collaboration with partners, building local capacity, working with smallholder farmers, encouraging women/youth participation and engagement, and creating opportunities for youth employment in agro-industrial partnerships. IFDC bases its strategy on the development of public-private partnerships as drivers of change by developing innovative approaches to improving the governance of agricultural value chains.

It's in line with this approach that IFDC Ghana cordially invites you for the New Year Open Door Day themed “20 Years Developing Agriculture from the Ground Up’’ from the 8th -10th February, 2022 between 09:00 am to 1:00pm.

The program will showcase IFDC's innovative plans for this year and our approach: Who we are, what we do and how we do it. Moreover, the Open Door will gather like-minded institutions and professionals as a fruitful ground for collaboration to kick-start the new year.
