Let's talk about our bodies.
We get shamed and criticised about our bodies all the time.
Everything in our world is constantly telling us we 'should' be slim, toned, fit, healthy, young, la, la la, la, la...
So we learn to criticise ourselves that way too.
And what does it do to you, this shaming and comparing?
It limits you.
It makes you feel restricted, like you don't have permission to be exactly as you are.
It sucks!
Now, there is a surprising place this feeling of restriction shows up...
It is in how you move your body.
That stiffening of the joints, the tightness of your muscles, the shallow breathing, tension headaches, clenched jaw, high blood pressure...
Your body carries that criticism in it's movements.
And that nastiness isn't even TRUE!!!
Ugh.
I find it so upsetting, don't you?
My question is, why?
Why do we need to do that?
I mean, who actually benefits from you putting yourself down?
You're probably thinking I'm going to say 'no-one' but that's not true.
The cosmetics, fashion, 'health' and pharmaceutical industries all benefit greatly from you believing you are not good enough.
Then sometimes (or many times), you look at your body in the mirror and you think thoughts that are not kind.
Which is a lie.
And we absorb the impact of that lie and apologise for ourselves in how we move our body.
It's hard to shake off on your own, but easier with company.
So.
This month, inside The Portal of Permission, we are banding together and learning how to liberate our bodies and give ourselves permission to exist in movement.
So that our bodies can reflect our growing inner ease and flow.
Click HERE to join us in this self-healing journey. It's going to be powerful yet gentle.
If I loved myself, how would I let myself move freely now?
