You know those days where you feel a bit...
uncared for?
Nothing terrible has happened.
Nobody has necessarily done anything wrong.
But somehow you feel depleted.
A little bit neglected.
Like everyone and everything has had a piece of you and there isn't much left for you.
On days like that, it feels like we need something BIG to fix that feeling.
A holiday.
A day off.
Someone to swoop in and take care of everything.
But actually if you think about it, the feeling of being cared for often comes from really tiny things.
Receiving a hot cup of tea on a cold day.
Seeing your phone is fully charged before you leave the house.
Getting into a freshly made bed.
Opening the fridge and discovering something delicious you forgot was there.
Tiny things.
And yet somehow they can make you go...
Ahhhhh.
The beautiful thing is that these are things you can do for yourself.
You don't have to wait and hope that someone does them for you.
You can be the person who quietly makes your own life feel nicer.
Not in a here are seventeen more things you should be doing for your wellbeing way.
Definitely not!
You have enough to do.
I mean in tiny, almost ridiculously ordinary ways.
The kind that take hardly any effort but somehow leave you feeling...
looked after.
Because that is what daily self-love looks like.
It's not just the big brave decisions.
It's in the ordinary Wednesday morning choices nobody else sees.
And tiny choice by tiny choice, you begin creating a life that looks after you.
That's what we're exploring inside The Portal of Permission this month.
Building the habit of tiny acts of self-love.
Nothing enormous.
Nothing overwhelming.
Just a warm, supportive community experimenting with little ways to make life feel better.
If you're reading this thinking, Ohhhh. I need some of that...
