What happens inside your body when you read this sentence:
You don't have to do anything today.
Does something soften?
And does another part immediately jump in with...
Well, actually, I really should...
That's what happens for me.
We tend to not be very good at empty spaces.
Finish one thing.
Start the next.
Finish that.
What's next?
Even our rest can become another activity. Have you noticed that?
Listen to the podcast.
Catch up on the book.
Do the meditation.
Go for the walk.
I think a little space between things is very healthy.
A moment when nothing new is beginning.
Nothing needs to be improved.
Nothing needs to be achieved.
You simply...
pause.
Breathe.
And let yourself catch up with yourself.
This is what we're doing inside The Portal of Permission this week.
We've finished a beautiful month together, and rather than rushing immediately into the next theme, we're having a Sacred Pause.
Members can catch up if they want to.
Revisit something.
Or do absolutely nothing.
I love that last option.
Because learning to leave some space in your life is part of learning to love yourself.
You don't always have to be going somewhere.
Sometimes you can just be where you are.
And if the thought of having a gentle space like this in your life makes something inside you go ahhhh...
You're very welcome to join us in The Portal of Permission.
If I loved myself, where would I give myself permission to pause today?
If you're craving a gentler, less nervous-system-frazzled life, and you want to learn very practical ways of looking after yourself better, come and join us HERE.
