"I feel like I'm broken about food." she said.
“I can’t trust myself,”
“I eat when I’m not hungry. I crave things I shouldn’t have.
And I feel guilty after eating - every single time.”
She thinks she has a problem with food.
But I hear something deeper.
It isn’t really about the food.
It's about what she's trying not to feel.
About the exhaustion. The self-criticism. The loneliness. The constant push to keep it all together.
Food is just the place where all of that is showing itself.
I see this so often - in my clients, in friends, in myself.
We treat food like a battlefield.
Like it’s the enemy, a thing to conquer, to control.
When maybe…
it’s actually just a messenger.
Maybe times of eating...
Are opportunities to love yourself.
And to listen.
To yourself.
To your needs.
To your feelings...
Because this is such a trigger area for so many of us,
I've decided it's time to offer some support to bring self-loving attention to it!
Also, we're already heading for the end of the year and that means the festive season.
And we all know how much eating plays a role in that...
And how we feel about it after...
So on the 25-29th October I'm offering a gentle 5-day journey on Food and Self-Love.
It’s not a diet. Not a plan. Not another way to 'fix' yourself.
It’s an opening.
A chance to lovingly see your dance with food and begin hearing what food and your body are trying to tell you.
It's 5 days of learning to eat with kindness - instead of all that other stuff we do.
Find out more about it and how to sign up for it HERE
(PS. If you're a member of The Portal of Permission, this journey is free for you. Your access voucher is inside The Portal.)
If you loved yourself, what would you choose to do now?
