Subject: But WHY only little bits?!

This is really crazy....

Why just the leftovers?

The other day I was a-pondering...

Why is it that we so often give ourselves only the leftovers?

Leftover time.

Leftover energy.

Leftover attention.

Only if everything else gets done and nobody needs anything and there happens to be a little gap...

THEN maybe we’ll do the thing we wanted to do.

Go for the walk.

Read the book.

Sit in the sun.

Phone the friend.

Do absolutely nothing for twenty minutes.

Whatever.

And I suddenly thought:

Hang on, WHY?

Why on earth should the things that nourish us automatically be the least important things in the day?

And yes, I know, life is real.

We have jobs and children and ageing parents and bills and health issues and dogs that need walking and people who genuinely depend on us.

Sometimes there really isn’t much choice.

I’m not suggesting you abandon everybody and lie under a tree.

Well not every day anyway...

I’m talking about the automatic bit.

The part where we don’t even consider ourselves.

Where you just immediately put other things ahead of what you want and need.

So I have a little Love Question for you to ponder too:

If I mattered just as much as everybody else in my life, what might I do differently today?

It doesn't have to be a big thing.

You don’t need to revolutionise your life by lunchtime.

But every time you ask, you’re reminding your nervous system of something important:

I exist here too.

One of the members in The Portal of Permission said something that touched me deeply.

She said the community and what we do monthly helps her feel “legitimate” – that it is okay for her to be as she is.

Legitimate.

What a word.

Please remember, you don’t have to earn your place in your own life.

This month inside The Portal of Permission, we’re exploring how to give ourselves space in our own Schedule.

Gently and practically.

You’re very welcome to join us.

It's a monthly membership and you can leave anytime.

No contracts and nothing to lose.

But your peace of mind to gain.

It's worth giving it a try.

Come and join us HERE.
