Subject: Update: UK Kris Wilder Seminar Details!

Iain Abernethy Quick Update

Hi All,

Just a quick update on a couple of things. Firstly, Kris Wilder has confirmed exactly what he'll be covering at his upcoming UK seminar (see below). It sounds fantastic to me!

Day 1 (Saturday 5th April) will cover: Sanchin and Naihanchi (Tekki) the link you need to know / Generating more power, faster, and swiftly.

Day 2 (Sunday 6th April) will cover: Seeing your kata – what it says to you / Damashi: the concept of cheating to ensure victory / Him, Down, Now!

I'm really looking forward to the weekend! Places are starting go quickly and all those who intend to take advantage of this opportunity are encouraged to book their place ASAP (see below for more details).

Secondly, the my own seminar list has been updated to include all the details for the seminars for the next few months.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has downloaded the new solo training podcast! The feedback has been great and it would seem these kind of podcasts are very popular and we'll be sure to make some more in the future.

All the best,

Iain

What leading US Realist Rory Miller has to say about Kris Wilder:

Kris is a Goju stylist in Seattle. I met him at the Jon Bluming seminar in 2002. Kris is a big, friendly guy and he asked me to roll. I was in a weird headspace - my first time actually on a mat since knee surgery, two days after I shot a threat in a tactical operation... yeah, starting with a big guy who outranked me in judo was a good way to get my feet wet. Kris was good - he got position right away, but he didn't tap me. We talked afterwards, many times. In 2003 he invited me to teach at Martial University, one of the best seminars ever.

Martially, Kris is good- classically trained with just enough real blood spilled to keep the edge. Alert, effective, an amazing learner and amazingly dedicated. He's doing something now with moving body structure that I'm tempted to call Okinawan tai chi.
