Dear Fellow Members,
During IAGR 2012, Singapore, there was some discussion among members for a need to establish a Statistics Sub-Committee within IAGR. This committee could serve as a platform for members to share information specific to their jurisdictions. Such sharing would enable IAGR members to learn from the experiences of others and guide them in making informed regulatory decisions.
In support of this, Mr Bheki Mlambo, CEO of the Mpumalanga Gambling Board volunteered to drive this committee. He set up a statistics workgroup which came up with an idea of a form where key information could be populated by members. The form would offer a quick snapshot of each jurisdictions’ data.
This statistics form that they designed has been approved by the IAGR Board of Trustees. We now need your support to populate the form. The form has been designed to cover key regulatory areas and issues, including responsible gaming measures. However, no form can be truly universal. In this light, we welcome your inputs and comments to improve the form.
Please see attached form. Once you have completed it, you can send it to mariah@mecheleconsults.com. Once all the forms have been collated, we will leave it in the good hands of the Statistics Sub-Committee to see how best to present this information. I seek your cooperation in taking the time to ensure that the information submitted can be thorough as possible.
