Recently, the Board invited all jurisdictional members to vote on the proposed bylaws amendments which were developed to provide clarity and more efficient governance of operations in multiple areas.
The
voting period for the ballot on the proposed bylaws amendments closed on August 21st (5PM Oslo). The by-laws state that for a Special meeting, we need 20 jurisdictional votes to have a quorum.
Voting Members submitted 21 valid ballots by the deadline, with 19 jurisdictions approving all amendments as proposed and 2 jurisdictions indicating individual For/Against votes on specific amendments. With the majority of votes indicating full approval of all proposed bylaws amendments, the ballot issue has passed in favor of the amendments.
The bylaws document will be updated soon to incorporate these amendments. An email notice will be sent to the full membership when the new edition is available on the IAGR website.
