Registration materials are now available for the
International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR)
2013 Conference in Oslo, Norway from September 29 - October 2, 2013

IAGR is
pleased to announce the venue and dates for the 2013 Annual Conference and
Members' Business Meeting. The conference will be held in Oslo, the capital of
Norway, from September 29 - October 2 at the Grand Hotel Oslo. The Grand Hotel is proud to host the
Nobel Peace Prize laureates and heads of state.
Preparations
for the IAGR Conference in Oslo are well underway. The program currently
features the keynote address Economy, Technology, Sociology and Gaming: A
Glimpse into the Future by Prof. Kjell A. Nordström. In addition,
there will be panel discussions led by fellow regulators and industry experts on
a range of issues including: Problem Gambling – A Regulator’s Challenge?
Success or Failure?; Breakout Sessions - Server Based Gaming and Player Card
Verification; Disciplinary Framework and Sanctions; and Match Fixing: The Role
of Regulators in Addressing the Threat; a Keynote speech State Operator’s
Challenge in a Digital Global Gaming World by representatives from Norsk
Tipping; Breakout Sessions - Auditing Casinos, Probity Checks and Compliance;
and e-Gambling; How do Operators Regard Regulators – What Works and What Could
Be Improved? and a multi-topic closing session: Gaming and Gambling on
Social Media Platforms – a 360 Degree Perspective.

In
addition to an informative conference agenda, our Oslo Host, the Norwegian
Gaming and Foundation Authority, is putting together networking activities that
showcase their capital city, including a Sunday boat cruise in the Oslo fjord
with lunch at the Opera House for early arrivals, a Sunday evening Welcome
Reception at the Grand Hotel, Tuesday evening dinner at the Holmenkollen Park
Hotel overlooking the capital city and a formal closing dinner on Wednesday
evening at the Grand Hotel.
This
year, the IAGR Conference is immediately followed by the Autumn conference of
the International Masters of Gaming Law. IAGR Attendees may receive a 10%
discount to both conferences if they register for both IAGR & IMGL events at
the same time. The IMGL Conference will remain at the Grand Hotel Oslo over the
dates of October 2-4. You will find a link to their program on our Conference
