Subject: IAGR Covid-19 Statement - March 2020

Dear Friend

The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), like all other organisations, is having to grapple with the difficult challenge in responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization has declared a pandemic.

We recognise that these are uncertain and upsetting times and our thoughts go out to the people who have been directly affected by this extraordinary event as well as healthcare and other frontline staff combatting the virus and helping keep communities safe.

In this climate, we know conferences and travel may not be your first thought, but we want you to know that the Board of Trustees is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will continue to assess the implications for our annual conference IAGR2020 Boston, scheduled for the week 20 – 25 September 2020.

While preparations for IAGR2020 Boston are continuing, we are vigilantly watching developments and reviewing our position as new information is available. We will continue to assess the situation as new information is available and be guided by advice from key public health organisations including WHO and relevant national authorities to inform any decisions about IAGR events.

Please know that our actions and decisions will at all times prioritise the safety and well-being of members and staff.

We will provide further updates as the situation evolves. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me or to forward through any relevant information.

Take care of yourself and stay safe

Paul
