While looking forward to this year’s event in Jamaica, IAGR is also looking ahead to schedule its next international gathering. The Annual Conference and Members Business Meeting rotates among the five regions of the globe represented by our diverse membership. North America is next in line in 2020.

Boston, the state capital of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, was founded in 1630 by Puritan settlers from England and is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It was the scene of several key events of the American Revolution, such as the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Boston and Massachusetts are also known for their world-class educational institutions and health-care facilities. It is the epitome of the historical and the contemporary.
Boston offers something for everyone to enjoy. Personal preferences for entertainment and interests are virtually endless - from historical trails and artifacts to fringe theatre, from inspirational architecture to dining on local fare, from the old masters to the new brew masters. Tours and trails can be enjoyed by foot, bikes, boats, trolleys, segways or "ducks".
Permanent treasures, hands-on exhibits and ever-changing temporary exhibitions can be found at the city’s famed museums: the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Science, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Children’s Museum, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum, the Museum of African American History, to name a few.
