Hello, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday! Graduation happened last Friday, and almost all of the guys headed home that weekend, so this week has been pretty quiet here on campus. I am looking forward to this furlough, both to rest and also to prepare for next quarter when we have a big 2nd Phase kicking off. The Battalion leadership shows up January 1, and all the guys show up January 4, so we only have a short few weeks to rest, celebrate the holidays, and prep for 2025. As I look back on the last quarter, I am so thankful for how smoothly it went. The transition between Captain Vanderford and myself felt bumpy at the time, and I am sure it was, but now that it is behind us I am grateful for how well it went. Last Friday we graduated 15 guys from Units 67, 68, 69, and 70. Graduation is always an encouraging event as we get a chance to look back and see the growth from R-Night all the way through the end of 3rd Phase. It is a good reminder of how much God is doing every day. |
