Dear Alumni, 

 

2024 is quickly coming to a close, and what a year it has been—for both new students and old alumni alike! We kicked the year off with our official 30 Year Anniversary Reunion in February on our Big Sandy campus, and followed it up with an unofficial one over the summer at the Northwoods campus. We also had 17 total alumni come back to participate in another Endurance Hike, and 8 sons of alumni complete Basic Training this year.

Speaking of unofficial reunions, the last two weekends here at ALERT have been just that. With sons of alumni both advancing with Unit 71 and graduating with Unit 70, it has been great getting some of the old guard back on campus. We were grateful to have Col. Ron Furman speak at Advancement Day as his grandson advanced out of Basic Training, and 2nd Lt. Rob Smith (Unit 3) speak at Graduation as his son became part of the Eagle Response Unit. Both weekends were full of old stories, new Responders, new graduates, great conversations, and a chance for reconnection.

Make sure you mark your calendars for our next official reunion, February 7-9 2025! The reunion website will be going live shortly with the schedule and details, and we would love to see you here in February.
