What is the Gospel? Is it the entry way into Christianity? The door that people walk through and then leave behind as they move further into their Christian life? Is it a recitation of historical fact about the life and death of Christ? No, the Gospel is so much more than that. The Gospel is the wind that moves our sails, the water on which our ship floats, and the anchor that holds us to God. In the Gospel, God didn't just give us a ticket into the club of Christianity, he adopted us into his family as the brothers and sisters of Christ. Through the Gospel we have access and fellowship with the Creator of the universe, and the sure hope of an eternity with him after death. As we start the Missions class this quarter, our goal is to show the men the beauty and glory of the Gospel in their lives so that it pours out of them and into a world in desperate need of God's grace. Please pray that these next 12 weeks would be spiritually encouraging, challenging, and transforming for the men in Missions, and in the Battalion as a whole.
