We continue our Advent journey this week by hearing the story of Mary. You’ve probably heard the phrase “meek and mild” associated with the mother of God, but that’s not quite consistent with what we hear in scripture. Who is this “favored one”? Why her? What compels her to sing “my soul magnifies the Lord” in response to the news that she is carrying Emmanuel in her own flesh? How do we respond with joy to the big things God asks of us?

All of these questions, as well as singing praise and gathering around God’s banquet table at worship! Come taste and see that God is good!
