Partnering with Community Kitchen for Lent Hazelwood neighbors, Community Kitchen, use food as the foundation to change lives and strengthen communities. Because they believe that every person who comes through their doors is inherently worthy (we have that in common) and has the potential to reach and exceed their goals, regardless of their past or present, they work to provide opportunities for success and lifelong careers. We'll be partnering with them during the Lenten season in two ways: Online Ash Wednesday Study Wednesday, March 5 @ 7PM: On Zoom We'll learn about the work of Community Kitchen and what they have in common with the message of Easter, a moment when we all got a fresh start from a God who wants good things for us.
Fish Fry Volunteers Fridays, March 7- April 11 @ 4-7 PM Community Kitchen: 107 Flowers Avenue, Hazelwood Nothing more Pittsburgh than a fish fry! This one brings in funding for Community Kitchen's work and this is an opportunity to show up as good neighbors with extra helping hands. Volunteers get a free dinner and a t-shirt.
Our goal is to send two volunteers each week during lent. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER >>
