Giving just got easier.
Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community is switching our online payment platform to “Giving,” a donation management product offered by Planning Center.
Giving gives you more options for making contributions. You’ll still be able to send donations through the church’s website. But now you’ll also be able to give one-time gifts right from your mobile phone by simply sending a text to 84321.
You don’t need an account to use Giving - just an email address. But if you want to manage payments, set up recurring gifts, track your giving history, or download statements you can securely log-in to Giving through the church website.
The Finance Team made the decision to switch after comparing our current payment platform to several options. We believe that this change will increase giving from current supporters, streamline administration for the staff, and even attract new contributors who are not yet giving.
Switching is simple.
To set up your new recurring payment simply visit www.hotmetalbridge.com. After you’ve set up the new payment, you can also log-in from our site to the previous payment platform, Vanco, to suspend payments to that service.
You have until December 31 to make the switch.
Why are we making this switch now? As a church we’ve been talking a lot about our struggle for financial sustainability. And it’s been about a week since we distributed our budget for 2018, the result of a lot of hard work, hard thinking, hard praying, and hard decisions. We believe it will grow our mission in a sustainable way.
So we're asking you to consider what you’ll be able to give next year, and as you set up your new recurring payment, we hope you’ll be able to increase your giving. Can you give $5, $10, or even $100 more per month to the mission of HMBFC?
