Theology Pub: Max Vanka Murals Field Trip // SAT MAR 17 @ 11AM // Millvale // Inside the St.
Nicholaus Croatian Catholic Church are masterpiece murals by the artist Max Vanka. Inspired in part as a response to the world wars, they are larger-than-life representations of
faith and family; the immigrant experience in America; social justice and
injustice and the horrors of war. These evocative images resonate deeply with
the themes of Lent. After the docent-led tour of the murals we’ll meet up at a
local pub for food, drinks, and discussion led by Mike on the
