Subject: Your Training Account is Ready [action needed]

Hi Friend

I've dropped the first few weeks of training into your training account. As I mentioned, you're starting off at a slightly lighter load that you ran in the session with Richard, so that we can build your running up slowly and stay injury free! Also, you want to enjoy it, so by starting off more slowly you'll look forward to each session. 

The main thing with your training is that you are consistent. If you miss a session, generally it's ok to do it the following day, but try not to run on two consecutive days at the moment if you can help it. 

I've scheduled some strength training for you twice a week. You can move those around too, but you do need to have at least a day between strength sessions. You can move it to one of your rest days if you like, but do make sure you have at least one rest day every week. 

And if that all sounds a bit confusing, just email me if you're unsure about anything. 

Training App Access

You will need to log in to the Members Area of our website to view your training program, or you can download our training app to your phone. 

Your login details for the Hooked on Running members area are:

Username: rowshan.sima@gmail.com

Password:  SRresults2020

When copying and pasting your password, be careful you don't include any spaces. 

When you have a chance, take a look around the members area where there are articles and other resources for you.  Use the "getting started" category in the Articles section to view instruction videos. 

I have set you up to receive notifications of your next 2 days' workouts between 5pm and 6pm every day, so you won't need to delve into the members' area too much to start with!

 This video will help you out with taking a look around. We are in the process of updating the members' area, so things in the video may not look exactly as they do in real time now, so if you have any questions, please just email me. 

 

Facebook Group

You should also join our Facebook Group. It's a closed group, available only to Hooked on Running Online Coaching Members. The Hooked on Running coaches will be regularly active in the group, and you can gain lots of insight from other runners, plus share your own triumphs!

Recording Your Training

You can record your session quickly on your phone if you download the phone app. Go to your app store and search for the Training Tilt app.  

To record a session as complete, tap on the session, then on the "mark as complete" button. The more information I can have about your run the better, so if you know how far you ran, and how long you took, you should record that info too. 

If you use  fitness tracker, either one you wear on your wrist or an app you have installed on your phone, it is likely we can automatically sync that to your training app. Your training will automatically be recorded, so I'll be able to see exactly what you are doing. 

If you are already using a fitness tracker, just let me know what it is and I can help you get set up to use it with the training app.
