Subject: 🌻 Goodbye to winter running: Term 3 is a wrap (almost)

Hi Friend

Last day for term 3 is Monday 28th September. As it turns out, with all the changes to term dates earlier in the year, this is a bonus session, so even if you're not a regular Monday nighter, do feel free to come along. The more the merrier - though you'll need to let me know so that we don't exceed COVID restrictions!

Coffee Runs

The traditional end of term coffee runs for the early morning sessions at Roseville will be held this week. Meet at 6am at Cafe Nate, Hill St, Roseville.

Term 4 Dates

Term 4 commences Monday 7th October, and runs until Monday 21st Dec. Term dates are on our website on the timetable page -on the dropdown menu under Running Groups - just in case you forget (not that I mind getting 50 text messages on the subject! 🤣🤣)

PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday and Saturday early morning sessions will revert back to 6am start time for term 4.

Events

Sat 26th Sept: Track Meet Narrabeen. 4-8pm

Seeded races - yes that's right, races, over 400, 800, 1500, 3000, 5000 and 10000 m. Our junior runners have been running up a storm over the last couple of meets. Great fun event, and no need to be super speedy to enter. If you'd like to enter, or your kids would like a run, you can find out more from Richard on 0405 575 910 or enter here. Be quick, as entries close today!!

Sun 18th Oct: Lake2Lake

Our version of this year's City2Surf. Start and finish in Rickard Rd Nth Narrabeen, with a meetup at the lake afterwards. If you can't join us on that day, follow the course any day from Friday 16th - Monday 19th, or design your own 14k hilly course, and submit your time. You'll find the course details on the events section in the Member's Area.

Sun 8th Nov: Bay Run

5k, 7k or 10k around the Bay Run course

Thredbo Running Week

No info yet on whether Thredbo Fun and Fitness week (AKA Running Week) will be going ahead in January. It will probably be something like the 10th - 15th January. A fun week with lots of novel events, so if you've got a spare few days, consider coming down to Thredbo.

Our last week of term has certainly brought some amazing weather with it. Be sure to adjust your training paces to account for the unaccustomed heat.

Fingers crossed for a non eventful rest of the year, but full of events would be nice!
