From the Instructor:
I want to thank some of the people who will be attending the Attack Proof Bouncers seminar that I will be leading on July 21st; as many of you I consider peers in your security experience. The main points I will cover are: some practical threat evaluation techniques, taking control of a potentially violent situation, options for less injurious physical confrontations, and single and multiple attacker survival.

I have been bouncing and doing some bodyguard work for more than 14 years and have seen quite a bit of nasty stuff. I found that my training in Guided Chaos and Close Combat prevented me from becoming victimized by escalating situations. I have yet to be injured and have injured none so far in over 75 encounters where I removed people from clubs. Extensive practice moving at full speed has given me a wealth of information about how these altercations go down, as well as what it takes to end them. Bouncing and other types of security work are not like fighting for your life, though you must be prepared to defend your life. Sometimes people will try to severely injure and even try to kill you. A good bouncer will turn up or turn down their level of force and aggressiveness to suit the situation. An experienced fighter usually will find themselves quickly in an advantage over another person/s -- it's what we do with this advantage that will determine how successful we will be as security professionals.

Physically we will work on turning up and turning down destructive force and transitioning from damaging maneuvers to safer maneuvers and back as necessary. I'll show 3 or more ways of moving a person out of a club. We will also work on: taking balancing, pushing and pulling, breaking a person down, escaping a full on multiple assault, and protecting a person from a group assault.
