In August 2013, Dr. Sev Hrywnak (mentioned in PM Online, Oct. 2nd, as an expert regarding Obamacare) said, "Solo Podiatry practice will soon be a thing of the past".
Well, I don't believe that. I am on a mission to do everything I can to help podiatrists stay gainfully in practice. And I've found a way to do it.
Surviving Reform
As you may know, if you've managed to get through my e-book (huzzah!), healthcare reform will reduce reimbursement 15-20% over the next few years, and 2014 alone could see important reductions in physician pay.
I recently found out that starting January 1, 2014, if Congress does not repair some language in the ACA law, you could see significant early income loss - by March. I will discuss this during the webinar.
Meanwhile, if you spent a lot of money on an EHR, you might have to do so again, to meet Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements in 2014.
