Big Sale at Green Dog on Fremont Fest!

Clever customers mentioned to us that I forgot something important about Fremont Fest this Saturday - our sale! We always have a store-wide sale all day at Fremont Fest - 15% off everything but food! Bonus: People who march in the parade will get 20% off! There will also be many products marked down for even bigger savings (for example - we're clearing out most of the leashes and collars from Cycle Dog in order to bring in new patterns). So come on out on Saturday - we're meeting at Beaumont Middle School for the parade (between 9:30 and 10am) that kicks off the Fest right at 10am. Please march with us! All dogs that march in the parade will also get a free doggie ice cream and a giant cookie back at the store! Hope to see you there!

NOTE: As I write this, the weather reports say it might be 98 on Saturday, and we know from recent weather, it might even get worse from there. Let's all plan to meet for the parade, but if it feels too hot, I'll pass out prizes and the vouchers for your 20% discount at the sale and we'll just decide there whether to march in the parade and just hop off at the store instead of marching the whole way, or we'll just skip marching altogether and head straight back to the store for ice cream. Sound good?
These Just In!
Beautiful New Road Signs!

Made in Washington, these signs are waterproof, UV resistant and mounted on heavy duty aluminum - think street sign durability! And so cute! They have little holes that you can use to mount them to a fence or a stake to put in the yard.
Boot The Scoot!

Unfortunately, many dogs (and even a few cats) are plagued by anal gland troubles. Frequent visits to get them expressed can irritate and damage those delicate glands even further. We've brought in a product in the hopes of helping those animals manage the issue. Available in peanut butter soft chews or beef liver powder, these products have great testimonials and a 90 day money back guarantee.
Neighborhood News

The Alameda Cafe is closing again, but if my source was correct (they're very reliable folks), it will be replaced by a restaurant called Thrive, which has been a food cart until now. They specialize in healthy delicious International Bowls. This is our kind of place! They say, "It's no accident that Thrive is the first word in our company name. From our locally sourced ingredients to our belief in treating our farm animals right. To our 100% house made sauces and selection of seasonal produce, we know it makes a difference not only in how our food tastes, but also in how it makes you feel.  We stand behind supporting our farmers and partner with local business to bring a sustainable community for which we can all Thrive from.  And we do it, one bowl at a time." Don't Forget!

The pavement gets very hot in the sun, far hotter than the sidewalks. When the street is shut down and people are enjoying the booths, don't forget to touch the pavement. If you can't hold the back of your hand to the pavement for more than 7 seconds, it's too hot for dog paws.
