Yes we know, it is in an eternity, but I am sure Siri or your Google Assistant can set you a reminder. Also, let’s be honest: at the time we write you are probably desperate to know how FIB SOL has developed a nano fibre to enhance the delivery of agri inputs... how PureSpace is going to ensure your farm fresh fruits remain farm fresh… Not to mention how OneCrop is going to save Chinese trees from being wrapped in plastic.

But to make sure you don't feel left out, just as we curated the event with a fascinating set of start-ups, we've got a set of photos and quotes below that quite nicely sum up the day for us.

VC investors are wrong to hunt for the one unicorn. Nobody wants a monopoly or duopoly in a critical segment of the food chain, the way it happens on the Internet. What the food system needs is hundreds of successful initiatives, it is not a winner-takes-all game....With the open access to knowledge, technologies and production, the innovative and impactful projects are most likely come from entrepreneurs solving rural problems than urban annoyance. FFAA winners have clearly demonstrate this new paradigm.

As JUST continues its expansion into Asia, we see a huge opportunity to provide delicious, affordable, healthier more sustainable food options in one of the largest global consumer markets where food security is a major concern. It’s clear there’s enormous demand for food innovation in the region and there’s a natural, cultural connection to our newest product Just Egg. If we launched JUST from scratch today, we'd probably start out in Asia.

Rarely we come across such a great platform where the goals and objectives are so clearly defined. Even if events are held that are advertised to be around the start ups- they are often given very limited time and exposure. This was a huge platform - where everything was done to ensure the focus was on us.

- Renuka Karandika, Founder & CEO, BioPrime and Finalist of Future Food Asia Award 2018
Future Food Asia was a fruitful experience for us. We were able to make incredibly meaningful connections, and have already planned field visits and trials of PureSpace’s prototype in the coming month with people we met in the room.

- Sunyoung Lee, CEO, PureSpace and Winner of the StartupSG Grant
The Future Food Asia Award experience has been transformative for OneCrop. It was our first start-up pitching event. We need opportunities like FFAA to engage with influential individuals and organizations to accelerate our growth, otherwise we would still be sitting back in Australia trying to get heard.
