Dear friends and partners,

If you’ve been part of our journey, you know Future Food Asia has never really been just about food. It has always been about the systems that sustain life — how we grow, produce and consume in ways that shape human health, environmental integrity and long-term resilience.

Today, I’m excited to share a defining milestone.

Future Food Asia is becoming Future Fit Asia.

As we enter our 10th anniversary year, this evolution reflects what we are seeing across science, capital and industry: food systems can no longer be separated from health, climate and environmental stability. The systems that produce what we eat directly influence how long and how well people live — and how resilient our ecosystems and economies remain.

Future Fit Asia is not a move away from food. It is a recognition that the future of food sits inside a much larger biological, environmental and human system.

Two defining themes for 2026: Healthy Longevity and Toxicity

For our anniversary edition, two themes will sit at the heart of Future Fit Asia 2026:

healthy longevity and toxicity.

Healthy longevity reflects one of the biggest structural shifts in food and biotech today. Nutrition is now inseparable from immune health, metabolic health, gut health and healthy ageing. The biggest capital flows into “food” are increasingly driven by lifespan, healthspan and quality of life. Microbiome science, bioactives, precision fermentation and functional biology platforms are becoming core building blocks of future food systems.

At the same time, toxicity is emerging as one of the most under-addressed global risks. The accumulation of harmful chemicals and pollutants across soil, water, food and the human body is linked to chronic disease, ecosystem decline and long-term productivity loss. While climate has driven enormous attention and capital, toxicity is rapidly becoming the next regulation- and innovation-driven market.

This is why we are especially proud to partner with the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, alongside Deep Science Ventures, to launch the Grantham Foundation Detox Awards — designed to catalyse breakthrough solutions that reduce or eliminate toxicity across human and natural systems.

From rebrand to real opportunity: One application, two pathways to scale

As part of this shift, we are making it easier than ever for founders and scientists working across food, health, environment and biotechnology to engage with us.

At the same time, applicants will automatically be considered for the Grantham Foundation Detox Awards, offering:

USD 90,000 in catalytic, non-dilutive funding
Focus on breakthrough detox solutions, including pesticide alternatives and food contact material innovation
Eligibility for both startups and academic teams
Backing from the Grantham Foundation and delivery with Deep Science Ventures

Convening the Next Generation of Capital and Innovation in Singapore

Our 10th anniversary edition will take place 12–13 May 2026 in Singapore, bringing together a broader and more diverse pool of investors alongside scientists, corporates, policymakers and entrepreneurs working across food, health, environment and biotechnology.

Over the past decade, alongside our own investments and through close collaboration with partner investors and corporates globally, we’ve seen capital and innovation shift toward platform and system-level technologies. The strongest companies now create value across multiple markets — from food and health to materials and environmental solutions — where demand, regulation and capital are increasingly converging.

Future Fit Asia reflects this market reality.
