Happy Friday, Friend,

The forecast is whispering a very dramatic phrase:

“Ice or snow possible.”

Now, if you live anywhere north of Texas, this probably means:

“Drive carefully and carry on.”

But here in Texas, it means something entirely different.

It means:

✔️ Bread and milk may disappear from grocery shelves
✔️ Space heaters come out of retirement
✔️ Quilts get promoted from decor to essential equipment
✔️ And absolutely no one pretends they know how to drive on ice

In fact, we have an official Fox Country Quilts winter policy:

If it ices or snows, we expect our employees and customers to stay home.

Because only crazy Northern people think they can drive on ice.

And we love you far too much to test your luck, your tires, or your insurance deductible just to buy fabric.

So if the weather gets frosty this weekend:

Stay home.
Stay warm.
Stay wrapped in a quilt you made.

And know that we will be right here, watching the forecast, guarding the fabric, and sipping something hot.

If the roads are clear next week, we’ll be ready to welcome you back with open arms and zero icicles.

Warm wishes and big laughs,
Donna

P.S. If you’re one of our Northern transplants and still believe you can drive on ice… we admire your confidence. Please send photos from your cozy couch instead
