Subject: There's something really FISHY going on...

Thanks for being here...let's keep the conversation going so we can all have clean, healthy food on our plates!
Our Seafood Is Making Us Cray Cray!
Well, maybe that's hyperbolic...but the reality of what's happening is, much of the seafood products we consume contain neurotoxins like methylmercury, dioxin and PCB's...

This topic was a listener request, so thank you, Donna for participating in the discussion and requesting an episode on seafood so that we can dissect what’s going on in our seafood supply chain and dig into what the heck is in the food on our tables.

A lot of seafood is imported into the U.S., and a large percentage of it is "farm raised", which is not only big business but it's also toxic to our environment and our neurological health. What's worse is, so much of the seafood that is imported into the U.S. is done so illegally, it's unregulated and it's unreported.

But that's only the tip of this toxic seafood iceberg.

Not only is much of our seafood exposed to filthy conditions, most of it is farmed in an environment that requires antibiotics that are known carcinogens, it is laden with 'sea lice' that are rampant and to boot, it gets shipped to China for processing, then shipped back to the United States for distribution, sale and consumption!!!

That just seems environmentally and economically disastrous and just plain dumb....but that's just my opinion.

What do you think?

Listen in and find out some answers that might leave a "salty" taste in your mouth. And make sure to share this episode with someone you love who eats seafood...their brain will thank you!
