Subject: River Access Program Update 2021

Dear River Access Program Member:

This is your annual update and we have some important changes we need you to pay attention to!

  1. Throw out your old booklets! Print off a new booklet because some of the contact info and instructions from many of the landowners has been tweaked. We need to keep the landowners happy by following their exact instructions.

  2. We have added two new access sites to the program at MM 13.8, MM and MM 29.3!

  3. We have also, unfortunately, lost the site at Franks Mill at MM 44. That means, no, you cannot use this access anymore. We are searching for a replacement for this area. Let us know if you have any ideas!

  4.  Be sure to check out our brand new mile marker trip planning map on our new website. It is an improvement over the old map and allows you to print out the section of map of your paddle trip. https://www.friendsofthemiddleriver.org/mile-marker-map

  5. If you are new to paddling rivers...HERE is our introductory blog about how to read rapids.

  6. The new booklet is available at the button below. Remember, do not share this information with persons outside of your household. This is not a public program, but a private group and one of our rules is not to share the booklet or its info with others outside your household.

  7. Lastly, here's a beautiful video by Ryan Bonos that shows you the love from landowners that goes into making these access sites possible for you! Sadly, this is at the site no longer in the program, but it is such a great video and indicative of all our access sites, I just had to include it in this email. 2 minute video
