Thank you for being a donor this year! Due to much appreciated support like yours, we have been able to attend to the needs of our River and our community.
In 2021, Friends of the Middle River:
Facilitated 5 public paddle trips on Middle River.
Organized 91 volunteers who removed 1.79 tons of trash and 177 tires from 25 miles of Middle River and Lewis Creek.
Completed our 11th year of Benthic Monitoring and began our 7th year of E. coli Monitoring.
Expanded our River Access Program with new access sites along the River!
Offered river-side education to dozens of kids and adults.
In 2022, we hope to: Resume even more of our splashy, in-person gatherings. Until COVID calms down, we will continue to dream up ways for all of us to safely experience our local gem of a River.
