We are pleased to announce that we have started shipping DZMx with built in WiFi and Bluetooth! Expect to see a news release confirming this in the coming days.

A reminder that all new and upgraded DZMx’s will be loaded with “new” platform 3 firmware. Platform 3 is a completely different software architecture to the existing platform 1 and platform 2 firmware. Hardware improvements have been made and this includes an enhanced audio board delivering High Definition (HD) audio quality.

The pricing has not changed from what we stated previously: 1,000 USD for Bluetooth and 3,000 USD for WiFi. The WiFi option includes Bluetooth.

Don't forget to offer 5 year warranty on all serial numbered items when you place any order with us. Quote part:

Price = 15% of all serial numbered items in the order
A reminder how to order DZMx WiFi and Bluetooth:

NEW DZMx ORDERS
There are now three options available:

Option 1
As per normal (DZP_04-xxx). These units will not be capable of providing WiFi or Bluetooth signals.

Or two new options:

Option 2
DZMx's ordered as WiFi and Bluetooth ready. The hardware will be capable of providing WiFi and Bluetooth signals, but only once they are activated with a software key. This can be done at any time in the future when the customer purchases either the Bluetooth only application (APP_00005) or the WiFi + Bluetooth application (APP_00006). They can be remotely upgraded with a software activation key and the units will not need to be returned to FIL. These units will ship under a different dash number: DZP_04-xxxW.

Option 3
DZMx's ordered as fully operational WiFi + Bluetooth or Bluetooth only units. The hardware will be capable of providing WiFi and Bluetooth signals and the software will be activated before it leaves the factory. The end user will have the ability to turn WiFi and Bluetooth functionality on or off from the DZMx menu. These units will also ship under dash number DZP_04-xxxW and they must be accompanied by an order for either the Bluetooth only application (APP_00005) or the WiFi + Bluetooth application (APP_00006).
DZMx UPGRADES
The anticipated turnaround time for existing units to be upgraded is still 2-3 weeks however that may change depending on demand. We have a new returns form and procedure to accommodate upgrades. Click here for the upgrade form. Please check with orders@flightcell.com ref timings, prior to shipping units to for upgrade so we can agree on an upgrade time and book you in.

If turnaround time is an issue for a customer we will have advanced replacement options for them.

Customers will have the option to upgrade to units that are WiFi and Bluetooth ready, or units that are fully operational, as per the new orders above. The pricing and part numbers are the same as for new orders. There is also the option to upgrade from platform 2 to platform 3 software only, to take advantage of the new audio board and future software feature developments - contact us for details.

There will be no reseller commission paid on upgrades as we are tying to keep upgrade costs to a bare minimum. However you can sell the upgrade to the customer and add margin. There will be commission paid where a WiFi or Bluetooth application is purchased and activated at the factory (AP_00005 or AP_00006) .

  • No additional installation or integration needed
  • Provides an onboard hotspot through which you can access the internet (if DZMx configured for cellular data)
  • Connect onboard devices to base (e.g. medical monitors)
  • Comes with an app for iPhone & Android for wireless configuration, messaging and calling.

  • Built in functionality
  • Pair smart devices to the DZMx and use mic and audio with the ICS (e.g. use a cell phone to make or take a call with a headset

  • Stream audio to headset
