The humble guinea pig arrived on the shores of most Westernised countries around the 1800s.

It got its name because it squeals like a pig and costs one Guinea to buy one.

(Groundbreaking naming skills, right?).

In South America, they’re used for food. In Western culture, they were used in laboratories to test cosmetics and medicines.

Why?

Because they share DNA which has many similarities with human DNA…

Hence the term “being used as a guinea pig”.

Here at FitPro Recipes, we’re looking for a few guinea pigs of our own…

We’re looking for some fitness business owners to trial our top-tier membership service for a meagre investment.

In return, we will want brutally honest feedback and suggestions on improving the service.
