Subject: King Charles III. Prince George and your appearance

It's not what you think.

Hi Friend

If you watched the King's coronation, you might have recognised one of the pages assisting the King, carrying the train from his robe.

It was the King's grandson. Prince George.

Before the national occasion, Prince George persuaded King Charles to change the old page uniforms for the monarch’s coronation.

As one of four pages, Prince George is said to have spoken up about not wanting to wear white knee breeches as he feared getting bullied at school after the event.

He wasn’t keen on wearing tights—though, I’m not sure many nine-year-old boys are.

The King replaced the breeches and tights with trousers. Including on his ceremonial garments.

However, King Charles kept the buckled court shoes ordinarily worn with tights.

It’s interesting to see how much a nine-year-old future King is susceptible to keeping up appearances for his friends and peers—though it goes without saying, bullying isn’t cool. No matter which side of the fence you sit on regarding the monarchy.

Keeping up appearances is crucial for you in your fitness business, too.

And no. I don’t mean fake it ‘til you make it.

I mean staying present in an authentic way to you and your message.

Whether it be in your posts on social media or emails to your email list, staying true to who you are, your voice and values matter…

To who you are and attract the people you want to work with.

The next time you feel like you need to wear metaphorical tights to attract business…

Take a leaf from Prince George's handbook and keep your appearance with who you are.

Best wishes,

Naomi.
