"Don't you eat a proper breakfast?"
That was how my friend responded as she sat watching me enjoy a high protein, nutrient-dense smoothie for my breakfast yesterday, when she popped round for a coffee.
As a busy mum who wants a healthy breakfast and is short on time, this IS a proper breakfast.

Honestly, it can feel like we are a different species sometimes! I mean imagine deliberately putting nutrients into your body at breakfast time, we must be crazy :-)
I was curious about what a "proper" breakfast would look like, so I asked her... "You know, cereal, toast or maybe a croissant," was her reply.
This got me thinking about the things a vast number of people think "should" be consumed for breakfast. We've probably all worked with clients like this and before I met Alan I thought exactly the same.
Shreddies or Special K were my go-to quick breakfasts back then. I wondered why I was ravenous by 10:30 am!
